The City of Clayton was established in 1998, following the merger of the Village of Clayton and Randolph Township. The City is led by six Council Members and a Mayor who appoint a City Manager to handle day-to-day functions.
Clayton has a population of 13,269 (Source: US Census) within the Northmont Community (population 43,000) and covers 18.5 square miles. The City is located in the west-central portion of the state and is a suburb of Dayton, Ohio. Right next to Interstate-70, Clayton is conveniently located for businesses and residents who travel throughout the region.
